Hamstring Muscles (back of thighs)

BACK THIGH MUSCLES (HAMSTRINGS)

STRETCH EXERCISE

-find something like a towel to wrap around foot

-try to extend so that your knee is straight or as far as you can

-feel stretch on back of thigh

-this stretches calf and hamstrings

-This can also be tried lying on your side

STRETCH POSITION FOR SLEEP

–avoid having knees flexed

-Lying on side with knees flexed often provokes cramp

-Lying on back with knee extended is best to prevent hamstring cramp
